Bowland Brewery: Best of British Beer Club

Monthly Beer Club : June

Set in the magnificent surroundings of a working Victorian mill, in the shadows of Clitheroe castle, on the edge of the beautiful Forest of Bowland is one of our favourite places for a beer!
The whole feel of the Bowland Brewery complex is unashamedly northern and proud of it. The mill not only holds one of the biggest bars in the country with over 40 draught beers available, it’s also home to the brewery. You can see all the Bowland beers being made through massive windows from the comfort of your leather sofa, while enjoying a pint

The brewery tours are especially popular and are both lively and informative, teaching you about how to make modern beers in a 200 year old building!

When you fancy a change from watching all the hard work being done, why not pop next door to The Weaving Shed with a mouth watering variety of food and drink from Lancashire and beyond? This vast food hall is a tribute to the local farmers and food entrepreneurs and combines a lively shopping experience with a continental market vibe.
Bowland’s portfolio of award winning beers reflects the heritage of the area and evokes the spirit of the neighbouring woodlands. It’s hard to choose a favourite as all their range are easy drinking, well balanced and not too demanding. We’ve decided to go for the classic Best Bitter Pheasant Plucker, great on its own and even better with a ploughman's.
